In Pursuit

My brother returned home safely from Iraq a little over a week ago. I had discontinued listening to the news in regards to Iraq when shortly after he was deployed. In the days after his arrival I started hearing all these statistics; 150,000 have died and 450,000 have been injured and these numbers brought me to tears. How or why would God choose to spare my brother? The answer came to me quickly. God is pursuing a real and personal relationship with him. My prayer when my brother left and over this past year has been that the Lord would spare my brother until he came to know Him as his personal Savior.

Thank You, Father, for hearing and answering my prayers. I continue to ask for a softening of his heart and acknowledgement of all You desire to save him from.
