Authoritative Power
We are going out witnessing again tonight and I ask that you all would keep us in prayer. Each time we go out we face increased opposition, especially over the past few weeks. The police have gotten involved, on behalf of the club owners who don't want us outside there clubs speaking to patrons. The police just want to appease the club owners. We have been told that we are allowed to preach: "As long as we aren't obstructing the sidewalk." "As long as you aren't talking to a whole group, but one on one." "As long as you aren't standing in one spot." This list changes upon each officer we encounter, we even had one officer tell the group that we were legally allowed to be out there preaching the gospel. Last Friday though, we met with an officer who has a very hard heart, and when he arrived on the "scene" he stated that someone is going down tonight and picked my friend Matthew and sited him for disorderly conduct and told him if we continue to preach, we will all be arrested and taken to jail. It is only in this part of Richmond, one of the wealthiest ares, that we see this level of opposition, suprising :) ...not so much.

What a great honor to be called worthy to suffer hardships and opposition for preaching the Gospel. Though it is sad that here in America where we have the freedom of speech and of worship, that this kind of opposition from those who are supposed to uphold the law.

It is an incredible honor. One I was previously scared of and sometimes am still a little fearful of, but once I am out there, it now pushes me to be out more, stay out later, etc.
Please be in prayer as we go before the judge tomorrow morning at 9a.m.
Thanks for checking up on me and the happenings here on the East Coast.
